GLI Concerts

The GLI Concerts are a celebration of the work we do at GLI. Since 2014, we have worked with dozens of partners to host 26 free, large-scale concerts in communities across Uganda and Rwanda.

These massive and highly collaborative events have many outcomes, but are rooted in the idea that nothing brings people together on equal footing better than music. Our concerts bring together musicians from the United States, East Africa, and beyond to record music together and perform on-stage with one another.

Our concerts, which attract between 10,000 and 25,000 people, are planned in close coordination with local communities.

In addition to the concerts being a vehicle for promoting culture and the arts, they are also an opportunity for communities to come together to address local issues.
